New GL accounts
can be created "on-the-fly" in accounts payable. It is not necessary to
quit out of ACCPAC, switch to GL and add the new accounts. They can simply
be entered through AP. If GL is installed, the program will verify the
user has the rights to perform account maintenance prior to allowing new
additions.
General
Ledger is not required to use this enhancement. With this tool the accounts
would be entered and maintained in Accounts Payable. This provides the
ability to validate entries even if GL is not installed. If you do not
have general ledger you will still be able to enter and maintain accounts,
but there will be no say to display or print any of the financial statements.
