Nine Level Pricing

Back to index Description Documentation Technical

General Info:

This enhancement provides an additional six levels of prices for a total of nine levels. The prices are for different levels of sales or customers just like the standard three level scheme in the standard programs. In addition, this tool provides the capability to set the prices as a percentage of the level one price. This way, when one price is changed all the others are updated automatically. Items can be set up either way as desired.

Adding Levels :

To change the price levels, first select inventory maintenance from the menu and enter the item number. When the item is on the screen it will appear as in the item AIRC in figure 1. Depending on the modifications installed there will either be a choice for "More" or "Levels" and the bottom. ("More" is used for multiple maintenance options).

Editing Levels :

Once selected the price levels will be displayed on the screen. To change one press "E" to edit and it will prompt for the level to change. Enter the number of the level to change and the proper line will be highlighted. Then first block (as depicted in Figure (2)) Is the level ofsale. As in the ACCPAC standard programs, this is the minimum quantity that must be ordered or sold in order to use the price at this level.

Setup Screen

Each of the price levels can be used in one of two ways. Either the actual price can be entered, or the discount can be used and the levels will be determined automatically based on the level one price. If the discount method is used and the level one price is changed, all the other levels are changed too. This method makes it very easy to maintain prices at multiple levels.

If the actual price is used, the levels are completely independent of changes to the primary level.

During sales the levels will appear no different from the standard programs. All processing occurs in the background.

Mass Price Change:

When a price change is entered it will affect only the top level price. Other price levels will only be affected if the discount off standard price method above is used.
